DOES IT HURT?
PDO Threads is a relatively painless procedure. However, some clients report some pain and discomfort. Therefore, to ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible, a topical anaesthetic can be used. Women should also plan the procedure according to their menstrual cycle, because during the first week, many have increased sensitivity the pain threshold can increase discomfort, even from minimal intervention.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?
After topical anaesthetic is applied to the area, the PDO threads are inserted into the area requiring tightening using a small needle to introduce the thread. The needle is then removed and the thread remains in place and will stay in place for about 6 months before it dissolves. The thread is inserted into the area where collagen production is desired. At Sydney Cosmetic Injectables, we will work closely with you to achieve optimal results. The treatment will last about 30 - 60 minutes of treatment depending on the area.
WHAT IS THE DOWN TIME?
The average recovery time after a PDO thread lift procedure is 24 hours of rest followed by light activity. Two to three weeks following the procedure strenuous activities may be restarted. A soft or liquid diet, and limited facial movements are advised for a few days.
